I have only just discovered that Patrick died earlier this year. I first met him when I was living in Nottingham in the early 1970s. He was singing and playing his guitar at a Festival event, in which I was also taking part. He called himself Steve Ryde as a musician. I didn't see him again until about 1981, when he was a participant in a poetry weekend held at Cromford, Derbyshire. His first wife was there with the very young twins. Our next meeting was when my husband, Noel Harrower, and I joined the Creation Spirituality movement (now GreenSpirit), of which Patrick was also a member. So, he cropped up at various artistic and spiritual events in my life. I found him an affable, caring man and am sorry that he has died before what would now be considered the winter of life.
